Stewardship of Prayer and Reflection

God’s hand, through Peter, sustains the Church in every age, prompting Paul’s exclamation: “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable his judgments, how unsearchable his ways.” When we see what wonders God has wrought of the fragile stuff of disciples’ lives—centuries of prayer and praise, mystery and ministry—from Peter to Francis, from the first disciples to us, why doubt God’s power at work here and now, even in us?
