Stewardship of Prayer and Reflection

Who are we? Isaiah and Paul suggest ways to “testify” with our lives that Christ is already in our midst. Baptized into Jesus, we have been anointed with the Spirit to “bring glad tidings to the [materially , emotionally , and spiritually] poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisoners”—and how varied contemporary
“captivity” and “imprisonment”! Our Advent mission, our life’s vocation: abiding joy, unceasing prayer, continual thanks, integrated holiness of spirit, soul, and body.
