Stewardship of Prayer and Reflection

Boundaries again. From breaking the Sabbath with a spiritual healing in the “sacred” space of the synagogue, Jesus moves to a “secular” space, Simon’s house, and continues breaking boundaries. Though still the Sabbath, Jesus “grasps the hand” of a woman not his blood relative, perhaps even ritually unclean because of illness. Boundaries broken, the fever “leaves” the woman’s body, as the unclean spirit had “come out” of the afflicted man’s soul.

There will be an Anointing of the Sick on February 28, 2015 during the 5:00 p.m. Mass. This sacrament is offered ONLY to those who are terminally ill, with cancer, the frail elderly and those are preparing for surgery. Please call the parish office to sign up and for further instructions.

“BE RICH IN GOOD WORKS... READY TO SHARE”

Our parish goal is $66,000. With every family’s full participation, we will surely exceed this amount and do our share to help so many in need, advancing the work of the church in our community. For those of you who have already responded with a gift, please accept our sincere gratitude.
