Veterans Day is November 11, 2016

All-powerful and ever-living God, when Abraham left his native land and departed from his people you kept him safe through all his journeys. Protect these soldiers. Be their constant companion and their strength in battle, their refuge in every adversity. Guide them, O Lord, that they may return home in safety. We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Stewardship of Prayer and Reflection

“Today salvation has come to this house” (Luke 19:8, 2:7, 19:9). In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, invites Pope Francis, do as Zacchaeus did, and climb up the tree of desire for forgiveness. We’ll never be disappointed, Pope Francis assures us, for Jesus is merciful, calls us by name, and never grows tired of forgiving! Where will I go in search of those who want to see Jesus?

HOLY YEAR OF MERCY

As the Jubilee Year of Mercy begins, what twists and turns do I need to let God untangle in my life? What rough edges smooth out? What mountainous of pride bring low? What valleys of indifference and neglect fill with mercy for others

     

"May nothing keep you from growing in friendship with God."

~Pope Francis
